If you want to get fully immersed in the festival atmosphere you can book an all-inclusive 10-night package, a 5-night or a weekend package.

Full or half board accommodation in beautiful en suite rooms in the medieval courtyard is available for 10 and 5-night packages. The package includes a Rover ticket which gives admission to all events in the main venues. These packages can be booked at any time.

Alternatively there is cheaper, student-style accommodation which can be booked on a bed and breakfast basis (2-night minimum stay - with tickets and meals bought separately), a 3-night weekend package, a 5-night or 10-night package including a Rover ticket for the duration of your stay. (NB Accommodation in the student rooms can only be booked once the festival brcohure has been published in May.)

Besides the literary programme there is much to do. When you want to be sociable there is a bar where writers and audience mingle. There are various places where you can buy food. If you need peace there are many quiet benches in beautiful spots, deckchairs to pull under shady trees or beautiful lawns to stretch out on in the sun with a book and a cooling drink.

For the energetic there are lovely walks by the river Dart. Bookshops, craft stalls and galleries complete the experience.
