From London and the South, take the A12 past Chelmsford, Colchester and Ipswich.

From the west and north, take the A14 east until it joins the A1120 near Stowmarket, and follow this road as far as Yoxford, where it joins the A12.

From the A12, just north of Blythburgh, take the A1095 turn-off for Southwold.

Once in Southwold St Edmund's Hall is just behind the church on Cumberland Road. There is on-road parking all around the hall and a pay-and-display car park a short walk away on the seafront by the pier.
